The history of Atelier TUFFERY
In the 19th century, Célestin TUFFERY, a master tailor, was searching for a solution to clothe the workers who came to build the railway for the crossing of the Cévennes region. He then purchased 100% cotton fabric, dyed in indigo, in Nîmes, and thus gave birth to French denim in Florac in 1892.
Natural and Sustainable Materials
For the past few years, we have been dreaming of an alternative to the cotton industry. As a result, we have created jeans with a natural look using local, sustainable, and eco-friendly fibers.

JEAN ETHIQUE : le denim en laine, notre alternative locale, écoresponsable et engagée
Nous avons lancé, il y a quelques semaines, le premier jean au monde avec de la laine locale, un jean éthique, réelle alternative au coton. Cette démarche a nécessité plusieurs années de recherche pour arriver à un produit 100% local, fabriqué en France, avec de la laine française. En partenariat avec les éleveurs et toute la filière textile, nous avons créé un jean éco-responsable. Retour sur cette démarche qui nous engage chaque jour à proposer des vêtements avec du sens grâce à cette volonté d'éthique sociale et environnementale.
