The history of Atelier TUFFERY
In the 19th century, Célestin TUFFERY, a master tailor, was searching for a solution to clothe the workers who came to build the railway for the crossing of the Cévennes region. He then purchased 100% cotton fabric, dyed in indigo, in Nîmes, and thus gave birth to French denim in Florac in 1892.
After three generations of passing down family craftsmanship, Made in France garments have regained their former prestige, breathing new life into France’s artisanal heritage.
